James West joined Sopris Capital in 2025 and serves as an Accounting Specialist.
He began his accounting career with Acushnet Golf in Carlsbad, CA, where he worked as an Account Payable Clerk for 12 years. After relocating to the Dallas-Fort Worth area, James continued building his accounting and operations experience, serving five years as an Accounts Payable Team Lead with Steward Healthcare and nine years with Safeguard Properties/Bank of America as a Property Preservation Specialist.
James earned his AA in Accounting from Eldorado College (now part of the University of Phoenix) in Oceanside, CA.
Outside of work, James enjoys coaching youth basketball, attending his son’s football games, and traveling with his family. He lives in Allen, TX with his wife and their two boys.
