Matthew Freeman joined Sopris Capital as an Analyst in 2025, where he focuses on cash flow modeling, as well as portfolio company and fund analysis.
Prior to joining Sopris, he supported family offices and alternative investment groups with cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and fund-level analysis. His work included evaluating capital needs, supporting investment decision-making, and analyzing portfolio performance.
Matthew graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Finance, with a focus on Investment Management.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with friends and family and following Texas sports. He is also an active volunteer and serves on the Fund Development Committee at Operation Kindness, a North Texas nonprofit focused on advancing animal welfare through rescue, care, and adoption services. A Dallas native, Matthew currently resides in Dallas.
